 Graphic Wood Technologies is the only manufacturer of wide-web, paper thin, continuous roll, printable veneer in the world. Sheer Veneer was designed from the beginning to be used in the packaging and graphic communication markets.The smooth surface has just enough hand-feel that you know it is real wood, but it is smooth enough to be printed and converted as if it were a paper. Sheer Veneer can be used to create wood labels, packages or marketing materials and every piece will be uniquely one-of-a-kind.
Sheer Veneer can be printed using sheetfed offset, digital, flexo, screen, flatbed inkjet and letterpress printing processes and it can be die-cut, embossed, foiled, scored, folded, laser cut / laser etched, stapled and sewn as if it were paper. Our Sheer Veneer sheets and rolls, unlike traditional veneer products, are produced without the use of chemicals, steam or pressure heating of logs and we never sand any of our wood.
We use only certified sustainably grown and harvested hand-selected logs and we yield incredible amounts of veneer from every log we use given we can peel the wood as thin as 0.005”.
